This was the first year we were not flying back to Florida on Easter in 6 years, and Taylyn was old enough to get excited about it. I even got brave enough to color real eggs. It was a mess but we had a lot of fun. When we were finished she opened the fridge and tried to get the rest of the eggs out to do some more. For the next week all she wanted to do was color eggs.

Here she is ready to go find her eggs. We were waiting on Cody's family and she was dying to go outside. She kept asking, "Is it time now!" over and over.

She was so proud of all the eggs she found and said she was ready to go eat them!
She thought the Easter Bunny was really cool and loved the few things he got her.

Cody had to go to Las Vegas to take the Nevada Boards so he can practice in Vegas if he wants to, so I decided to go with him and stay at my mom's for a couple of days. Monday Cody went to take his test and hooray passed!! While he was taking the test we were having fun at Nana Papa's house. Taylyn loves going down there and bossing my parents and Bruno around. Cody came home that night but had to go back to Cedar the next day to work. We stayed and played and had a blast.
The first thing Taylyn did when we got there was go to see Bruno and ask or should I say tell my mom they needed to take Bruno for a walk, which they did! She spent a lot of time with him because they weather was beautiful and we had been stuck in our house because it was cold in Cedar. She wanted to be outside all day!

Jaxon loved all the attention and be held all the time. My sister came the day before we left so he had someone to hold him the entire day. He was quite content with that!
Taylyn loved Papa and needed to know where he was the whole time we were there. She woke up asking me where he was every morning. After her nap she needed to sit with her Papa. Papa fell asleep but Taylyn snuggled with him for quite a while anyway!
Nana was brave and let her help with making bread and cookies. She made quite a mess but made sure my mom washed off her hands if they got dirty with the flour.
Tay helped with pouring in the flour but kept getting too close and her measuring cup went in with the the dough. They had to fish it out a couple of times.

It sure brought back so many fun memories of caring and showing my 4 different pigs.
My nephew Garrett, Taylyn and I standing by his pig!

She loved the small animal tent but was on overload and couldn't look fast enough.
She absolutely loved the pony ride and even got brave enough the second time and went all by her self. I was sure glad I didn't have to walk around the circle again.
We had Cody's cousins come out and Tay enjoyed riding with the kids, but I still didn't get out of riding with her. Here she is with Brynlee and Davis.
She really surprised Cody and I and went from one ride to another all by herself. She was having a blast!
Bryn and Taylyn
Cody was pleasantly surprised at how much fun the fair actually is after all those years of making fun of all of us when we talk about it. I made him eat all the foods that I used to eat to make sure he got the full effect. He decided next year we might need to go for 2 days!!!

Yes that is a Snow Lion made from snow in April. I was not at all pleased and was ready to move back to Florida in a heartbeat. I don't mind having snow in the winter but by April I am ready for spring. Taylyn, however, has overcome her fear of snow and was elated with the idea of snow. She asked Cody the minute he walked in the door from work to build her a snow lion. He questioned her with," you mean a snowman?" With which she replied, "No Daddy I want a snow yin (snow lion), that be fun!" So he changed his clothes and out with the winter gear and they set off on a mission to create a snow lion!
This was Taylyn's idea of helping to build the Snow Lion.....eating and sweeping the snow!

It's looking more and more like a lion!
Tay and Cody were quite proud of their snow lion. I was too, they did a great job. They were trying to figure out some other cool things to make next year. Hopefully they will have to wait until next year to build them. I am done with the cold and snow!

Jaxon has had a rough time in this new world. Many things have happened to the poor little guy. He was such a good baby for the first couple of weeks and is definitely a momma's boy. The minute he hears me his heard turns and he starts to cry. Most of the time I love it because Taylyn has always been 100% a Daddy's girl, so it is nice to have one of my own.
After a couple of weeks he started crying a lot and spitting up so bad I was changing his clothes, blankets and a couple burp clothes a couple times a day. He was also grunting and pulling his legs up all day like he was in pain. Then he got so stuffy he was having a hard time even breathing. So I took him in to the doctor. Diagnosis- Acid Reflux (just like Taylyn), colic and possibly RSV. He sent me home with medicine for the first two and then said that whatever he had was viral and we just had to wait it out. On a positive note he had already gained almost 3 pounds. A week later and he continued getting worse so we took him back to the doctor. They tested him and he did have RSV so this time I came home with a breathing machine and they sucked out his nose. I feel so bad for him because he seems so miserable. Once again he has gained more than a pound this week. He's now 11 pounds 8 ounces. I sure know how to fatten my babies up! He also got the baby acne all over his head. Poor guy!

He was not at all amused with his first bath.
Once he was out he decided it wasn't too bad. It probably didn't help that Tay had to help and splashed him in the face!!!

We are so happy to have Jaxon in our family. He is such a sweet baby and I have loved being able to hold a new baby of my own again. We love him to pieces!

What can I say? I can't believe how fast she is growing up. She is learning and picking up on so many things. I laugh a lot during the day at little things she says or does. She has really been loving lately. She tells me all day how much she loves me and Cody and all of the family. Also everything she sees is "so cute," "that makes me happy" and "that's so beautiful." She also lets me know, "I so proud of you mom!" at least a couple times a day. I glad she approves of what I am doing. It is quite funny.
Taylyn did really well when we brought Jaxon home from the hospital and I thought we were in the clear but she started needing her binkie when Jaxon did and talking like a baby instead of using the words she knows. Luckily it only lasted a week but I really tried to spend some one-on-one time with her each day. This day we decided to have a picnic on the deck. She didn't eat much but had a ton of fun.
Here is her throne that she spent a lot of time on the first couple of days!

Here he is with his cousin Aiden. Aiden is about 10months older than Jaxon. What a difference in size!!!!
Collin and Jaxon just hanging out. Collin had a Jaxon in his belly for quite awhile until I had Jax and then he also had his Jaxon the same day. What a character!!!
Brandon thought he was going to go crazy waiting to see the baby. He got sick so he had to wait until he got better before he could come over.
Tina, Kayla and Rachel stopped by on their way to Salt Lake for a visit and of course each took a turn holding him.
