Papa finally felt good enough to get out of rehab and we went for a walk. We made it all the way to the mall and back. It was nice to see the color return to his face as he felt the fresh air!

We sure love to go visit and hopefully soon we can visit him at home!

Nana Papa's House

I took peaches to my mom's so she could help me can and make peach jam. We made quite a bit despite how many peaches we (mostly Taylyn) ate as we were cutting. It was fun just being in the kitchen with my mom again just cooking and visiting.

Daddy got the job of entertaining.

I think he was having as much fun as the kids.

So cool!

Later that night my Dad ended up being taken to the hospital. I am so glad I was there to be with my mom. I ended up staying the rest of the week. He was in the hospital for more than 2 weeks for phenomia among other things. Thanks to the lack of care in the hospital he has been in rehab in St. George for almost 3 full month and we still don't know when he will be coming home. I watch the love and care my mother gives him and I admire her more each day. She is strong and hopeful that he will be able to come home again. Taylyn can't wait until they get home so she can go visit at their house not Papa's hospital. She loves to visit her Nana Papa.

SUU Homecoming 2010

Cedar City Balloon Festival

The festival was a little weak in the evenings. I guess it was too windy to put up the balloons so they just kept lighting the fire. Britt and her mom came up from Vegas and it was great to visit with them for a little while. Taylyn was glad to see her fair friend again. They met each other at the Clark County Fair last year but she can never remember her name, hence the name my fair friend.

Jaxon was not at all amused!!!!

Our ward had a Mother Daughter Tea Party for enrichment. One of the classes was a ballet lesson. Taylyn had so much fun.

It was sure fun to have a sweet little girl to take with me. She thought it was pretty cool that we left Jaxon and Daddy home!!!

Bristlecone Hike

During September we tried to go do something fun each week out side. We went hiking one day. The kids had so much fun and Taylyn walked the entire way. She said she wanted to go do another one once we were finished.

This was the coolest looking tree I couldn't resist letting them sit on the branch.

Stampede Festival

Took the kids to the Stampede Festival. It gets nice in the summer because there is always and parade and festival to go to so we don't stayed bored very much!

We went and got Addison and went to the parade and over to the park for games. They had a lot of fun and even got to ride a train. Lucky me, got to go cause I didn't trust Jaxon to go alone.

They kids and I were bored on morning so I took them to the Iron County Museum. They had so much fun.

This was the favorite part for both of them. I had to carry Jaxon away screaming. He wanted "more, more more!" He was making me so nervous I thought he was going to dive out.

She was posing herself then asking me to take a picture.

They had a kid section and Taylyn really had fun doing all of the activities.

We also went to St. George to see the Dinosaur Museum. Taylyn was very interested in the dinosaur. Here's how the conversation went....

Taylyn-"Why don't the dinosaurs live with us, I love them?"

Cody, " They died along time ago,"

Tay, "Oh so they live with Jesus and they will come alive when mommy's grandpa does again." Cody, "Probably,"

Tay, "But I still wish they would live with us."

Cody, "It would be dangerous cause they might eat us."

Tay, "why would they eat us, I love them."

Cody, Dinosaur need to eat and some of them would think we were food.

Taylyn, " Well I love them and can't wait for them to come back alive with Jesus. I love them!"

The rest of the day our conversation revolved around dinosaurs and the resurrection!!!

Iron County Fair

We went to the Iron County Fair this year with the Hillstead's.

They loved the petting zoo.

24th of July Parade

Cody was in charge of the ward float this year so we didn't make it to the lake for the 24th of July, so off to the parade.

Happy Birthday Cody!!!!

We started the day with breakfast in bed and fishing. The kids had a lot of fun and we caught a few little fish.

Of course neither of them can look when the other is looking.

We sent Cody on a Treasure hunt to find his gifts. Taylyn helped me decided where to send him. I was so proud of her keeping everything a secret. I had his present a month and a half before his birthday and she keep them hidden under her bed and never told Cody. She teased him a lot but never gave it away.

First was the kitchen, then to her room, to our room, our shower, down the slide in the basement and finally to the garage where he found his gift. New sand wedges!!!!!

We had a great day together and are so glad to have him as our husband and father!!!!

Shon's Rock Crawl

We went to Shon's rock crawl competition in Tooele. The kids really enjoyed it but were absolutely filthy.

Taylyn loves hotels and asks us constantly if we can go stay in one, even if it's in Cedar. She gets her own bed for her and lucky and she always tucks him in bed so he stays nice and comfy!!!!
This is what they kids looked like at the rock crawl. We actually had to strip them done and then put them in the car, but boy did they have a blast!

We got back so late the first night and after baths we were all exhausted and starving so for the first time in our lives we ordered room service. We began eating and both kids were in bed just staring at us so we got them out of bed and ate every last bit of food on the tray.

Labor Day in Vegas

We spent Labor Day Weekend in Las Vegas with Cody's cousins family.

The kids wanted to be outside all day long because the weather was so warm. They had a blast and pretty much had red faces the entire day.

She thought the jeep was about the coolest thing on earth and didn't get out of it very much.

She went and got a manicure and pedicure with Kari and Aunt Peggy. Yes you heard that right. She came home and told me she needed to do that again.

July Jamboree

Cody's grandma taught dance at the university and she loved my dad; she said that she took and football farmer and made him a dancer. What a small world.

More Outside Fun

We sure loved the front yard this summer and spent most evenings out there.

Tony's Wedding

Cody's little brother got married on August 6th. Taylyn got to be the flower girl. Azita looked absolutely beautiful.

We had explained to Taylyn what she needed to do with the flowers. She walked all the way up the isle (which I didn't think she would do) but forgot the flowers. As she got to the front she basically just dropped the flowers in one spot. I was just impressed she did it without crying.

Snake At the Park

We went to the park with Melissa and her kids and some guys had a snake just hanging out on the grass. Taylyn wanted to see it, but for those of you know me I don't like snakes, so Melissa took her. She touched it and thought she might want to hold it. She chicken out on holding it but wanted a picture with it. I agreed but only if it was not by its face.

It took a little convincing but Brandon finally got close enough for a picture.

They had so much fun in the water, but the were extremely filthy.

Collin wanted to strip down to his boxers to go swimming. We caught him just in time.

Aiden saw Melissa coming and he was off.

Memorial Day Lake Powell

All of our family and Cody's Uncle family went to the lake for Memorial and we had so much fun. There was kids everywhere but they had a blast.

We found this and decided to give it a try.

We went to Aspen Mirror to go fishing. We didn't catch a fish but caught a horny toad. We had a lot of fun and the kids enjoyed being out of the house. While we were there we got to see them restock the lake out of a big tank.

Jaxon has to have a blanket and guys just like Taylyn does. He calls both of them Tigger though! He is so funny about his bed. When he wakes up he has to have at least 20 minutes to play in it or he won't let me get him out with throwing a fit. When he is ready to get out he yells my name and when I walk in he tells me, "out." It just has to be on his time.

Nana Papa's House Summer 2010

We spent a lot of time at my parents house this summer. My mom had surgery so we went to help take care of Nana and Papa. The kids always love togo visit.
As soon as they wake up in the morning they are asking to go outside. I guess it is good because by 10:00 it is too hot for me to be outside.

Swimming at Grandma's is the best. Taylyn got in and said, " Hey this is like taking a bath, can I have a bath in here." I figured why not and went for it. However, the next day Taylyn thought she needed her bath in the pool and was not happy when I said no.

She woke up asking to swim and continued asking the rest of the day. She swam a couple times each day.

Jax Man's 1st Birthday!

I can't believe my Jax Man is 1. This past year has gone so fast. He has brought so much joy to our family and is a sweet little guy. He is such a happy busy boy who always has a hug when Mommy needs one.

He loves Tigger so much I made him a Tigger Cake. He loved it and walked around saying, "Tigger, Tigger" all night.

Sneaking one little bite before the party! Daddy said it was his birthday and he can have a bite if he wants one.

I wanted all the kids to stand around him for a picture, but as you can see that is not what he had in mind.

At first he just kind of played with the frosting and finally he dug in and ate and ate and ate and then mom took it away!

Outside Fun

We are the only ones on the block whose children love to pull each other on a sled with or without snow. Who needs snow anyway!

It's even better when Dad pulls them.

Finally a Day warm enough to swim. However the water was still so cold it was more like walking through a puddle.

Blowing bubbles with a straw. The first few times he drank a lot of water before he figured out how Tay was doing it.

Easter 2010

We went to the Sigma Nu Easter Egg Hunt. Taylyn was a little nervous and cold at first but once she got an egg it was GAME ON!

She was ready to go, but still a little sleepy!

Jaxon was more impressed with his bottle than the basket the Easter Bunny left for him.

Taylyn was so excited that the Easter bunny according to her, "he brought me everything I ever wanted!!!!!" Followed with a sad face, "he didn't even come and see me to say hi, i will miss him."

All she wanted was, "a princess suitcase that I can pull all by myself with a handle, so I don't have to pack with you anymore Mom." Well the Easter Bunny couldn't find a princess one so she got a pick flower one and she loves it. Thanks Easter Bunny!!!

Nana Papa's House

This was one of the trips to my parents house. The kids love it there especially in the winter because there is not snow and they can play outside all day if they want.

Bruno was cold!

Taylyn got in trouble and was told to go to her room. She ran in screaming and slammed the door. Jaxon went right over and started hitting the door and yelling at her. I was laughing so hard I forgot why Taylyn was in there. She was not amused at all by it and screamed louder every time Jaxon decided to yell at her.

Summer Games 2010

We went to the Summer Games Opening Ceremonies. The kids had a lot of fun and the program was enjoyable to watch.

This part always gives me the goosebumps. I love watching the flag spread out with the military surrounding it.

Mesquite 2009

Cody bought a package for 3 nights and 2 rounds of golf in Mesquite at a charity event. We actually used them before they expired. Only a week before but at least we made it.

The kids had a blast and loved staying in a hotel as usual. Taylyn thinks she is pretty cool with a big bed all to herself!

We went to the arcade one night and Tay was amazed. I was a little disappointed, it was way smaller than it used to be and they got rid of the go-carts.

She also got McDonald's breakfast and that is her favorite thing in the world.

Paiute Parade

These two get together and it is like the world around them disappears and they are completely in a world of their own.

They tried to have a sleep over, but after coming out of the room 5 times and giggles until 10:30 we opted for no sleep over.

Oh my little Jaxon! He is adorable but sure wears me out. He goes none stop. He has to throw things-not hand them, he has to climb over instead of walking around, he has to stand on the chair not sit, he has to tease Tay until she cries and when I say no he smiles and does whatever I'm telling him not to do. But I hear that is just a boy thing and he makes me laugh and smile all throughout the day!

Loves to lay back and relax in the stroller. He is so happy most of the time. Notice the evidence of all the rough play.. That is the result of falling down the door and his face caught the frame of the door. OUCH!For some reason this is how he loves to sleep. 9 out of 10 times when I go in to check on him before bed this is how I find him.
He loves his Daddy almost as much as his bottle!

Cody decided to teach Taylyn all about sleeping bags and stairs. She was a little hesitant, but with a little convincing and some help she got brave and went for it and decided it was a lot of fun!

I even got in on the fun! I had forgotten how much fun it is!!!!

The Little Cookers

At least 4-5 times a day the kids get into the Tupperware and spread it all out so they can cook! It was cute until I ended up filling my dishwasher up everyday with the Tupperware. I finally decided it was easier just to put them back and wash them before I used them, but man they sure have fun with them!

My 30th Birthday!

My 30th birthday was a hard one for me but Cody made it really nice. He made me breakfast in bed and then gave me a present I was really surprised to get. I had said I wanted a Serger awhile before my birthday and he surprised me with one! Taylyn sang to me throughout the day and kept telling me Happy Birthday. She made me smile all day. I love you Tay!

Then that afternoon I received a beautiful vase of roses!

That night we went to dinner together just the two of us. It turned out to be a beautiful day! Thanks Cody for a wonderful birthday!

Disneyland

We went the Disneyland the end of January. Cody was not please about this idea of Disneyland being a vacation. I just knew we would get there and our kids would do everything he said they would. The ride there I was beginning to think he was right, but they proved us so wrong. Tay threw one fit the first day and then game on. She was amazing and had a blast. She wanted to ride everything and was really brave. They both loved the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. Jaxon cut 5 teeth while we were there and never cried or whined. He loved the rides and enjoyed having so much to look at. All in all the trip was great.

Her first ride was Dumbo. All the other elephants were going up and down, but not Taylyn's. I didn't realize she had control and she told Cody she wanted to be up high!

Waiting in line for a ride. The longest line we waiting in was about 15 minutes. It was great! Taylyn was so sad to find out the castle isn't actually a castle just a walkway.

Chip and Dale were one of the first character's to meet.

I couldn't believe that Jaxon wasn't scared of them either.

Taylyn would walk right up and hand the characters her autograph book and pen and then wanted to give all of them hugs after they signed it.

She was in awe with Pluto.

She thought it was hilarious that he signed the book on his nose!

She had never seen Max before but was all about getting as many as she could. She told Cody that Max was so silly!

Mickey Mouse and all his friends were in their California Summer clothes. We tried to get a picture of the characters in their traditional with the kids and Tay said, " I already got a picture with them in their summer clothes. I don't need another one!"

We were actually standing right where the characters walked out. Donald grabbed her hand and walked with her to where he was supposed to be standing. Taylyn thought it was so cool. I couldn't believe she actually went. She usually won't get to far from me.

This was walking to the Princess Breakfast before the park had even opened. That is definitely the way to introduce your little girls to Disneyland!

After we went to Shark Reef and they got to pick out a stuffed animal. My kids and stuffed animals! Why can't they have another obsession!

She decided that sliding on her tummy was quite funny !

She got my bra on morning and told me she needed to cover her nippies up!
Oh how stylish!Finally she is a big fan of big flowers and headbands!Nap time for Daddy and Taylyn decided to join him!
Taylyn came out of her room and me she had dressed herself and she was ready to go. I tried to explain it didn't quite match and she informed me it did match pink and pink and brown and brown. What do I say to that? Luckily it was Sunday and we were just going to Nana's for Dinner! She won that battle! Taylyn went to her first visit to the Pediatric Dentist. We were really worried at how she would react. She was amazing and let them take the x-rays and clean her teeth with not even one whine. Dr. Albretch told her about how it is important to floss each day to keep her teeth healthy and gave her one to take home. That night she reminded Cody that Dr. Albretch told her that she needed to floss every night and continued to remind us for about a month. It has slowed down but she still reminds us quite often. About 2 months after we took her to the dentist I told her that I was going to the dentist. She got a look of fear in her eyes and said,"Please don't tell Dr. Albretch that I forget to floss my teeth sometimes!" I explained I was going to a different dentist and that Dr. Albetch wouldn't be mad at her and we would try harder. Sometimes I see little bits of myself in her and that was a definite me thing!!!!

Here are a few Taylyn things that have happened over the last couple months.

Taylyn and Cody were downstairs playing and she came over to him and said, "You sit down and be my customer I will feed you." I don't know what restaurant she eats at!

The kids were taking a bath and Tay was taking all the toys and Cody told here that she needed to share with Jax. Her response, "Jax Man has plenty of toys he will just fine"

She is really into how much we love her and how much she loves us. One day she asked me so I held out my arms as wide as I could and told her I loved her that much. She then held out her arms and said," Well I love my Daddy that much." I started laughing but she wasn't sure what was funny!

We have been slowing introducing the choice concept. For example, you can pick up that puzzle or you can't play with it anymore. So one day she was whining for Cody to get home, but I explained to her that he was working and couldn't come home. A little while later she came into the kitchen and said, " I want my Daddy but I know it is not a choice."

She is such a good big sister and loves it have Jaxon come on her bed and then she will sing to him. It is so cute.

She is slowly figuring out prayers and why we say them. My parents were traveling one day and I knew my mom was tired so we said a prayer for her to travel safely. So for the next month Tay started praying for Nana Papa to drive safely every time she prayed. Then out of the blue one day she started saying," I know this church is true in the name of Jesus Christ Amen." She always says it in her prayers know except one time she was at Nana Willie's and was saying dinner prayers and finished her prayer and then looked at Linda and said," I'm not saying the church is true this time." and started eating.

Taylyn and Jaxon almost over night just started fighting with each other really bad. I had it one day and they both spent a lot of time in their rooms. We were saying prayers that night and she said," please bless me to be nice to Jaxon and that Jaxon will not fight with me." Then next morning she was really good and very nice to Jax. Jaxon didn't return the favor and was being really mean to her. She put her hands on her hips and said," I prayed for you to be nice to me now be NICE." At least she understands that prayers are answered!!!
She is still such a Daddy's girl!

She was using Baby talk and I was always reminding her to use her words so I know what she needs. Cody was talking to her one night and I'm not sure what they were talking about but she looked at Cody and said," Daddy Use your words!!"

When she was saying goodbye to Cody's family she would always say, "Check yourself before you wreck yourself!" or "See Ya Sucker!!" We're not sure where she got it!!

She starting really loving Princesses at the end of last year. We are always telling her she is our little princess. One morning we playing and she said, "Mommy I a Princess!" My response, "Yes and don't you forget it! Then one day she told me, "Mommy I love you as a princess."

She is turning into quite the little golfer and tries really hard to do it just like Daddy. She asks him quite often to go golf out back.

Taylyn was talking to me, and she most have thought I wasn't listening and asked me, "Do you understand?" I started laughing laughing so hard I couldn't answer!

Taylyn decided that her and mommy were princess, Daddy's her king but Jax is just a prince. Maybe one too many princess movies!

We asked Taylyn what she learned in church and she said, "We had No body with Jesus." Apparently they learned that when we lived with Jesus we had no body. About a week later we were talking about something and she reminded us that," no body with Jesus." About 2 months later we were discussing someone who was sick and maybe going to die. She wanted to know where you go when you die. I told her you go to heaven with Jesus and she responded, " with no body with Jesus." Then she said, "When do I get to go live with no body with Jesus.? I told her no for a long time because I loved her so much and want her with our family. She was ok with that but I was a little blown away at the conversation I just had with my 3 year old. She's a smart little thing!

Taylyn was mad at me because I wouldn't let her to something she wanted she said, "I want a new mom but there's no mommy's for sale at Walmart!" Later that night she said she didn't want a new mom from Walmart that she loved me too much.

She started talking like a baby and calling us dadda and mama. Cody had a talk about it and told her she was a big princess and had beautiful words to use not baby talk like Jaxon. Before she would say our name for a couple of weeks she would ask, "Whats your name again?" It took a couple weeks and then she started talking like a big girl again.

At her 3 year check up on 12/29 she was 34 pounds 78%; 38 1/4 inches 84%; Head 19 3/4 inches

Whenever anything happens like spilt juice or a broken toy Taylyn always says, "Not a big deal, Mommy, accidents happen!" Cody always jokes that he knows exactly what I say or how I act during the day by listening to Tay talk.

It was time to say prayers and Tay was being a stinker. She rolled her eyes and said, "I'm not saying the prayer." She rolled over and closed her eyes. I'm in for it in a couple of years.

She always keeps us laughing and we love her to pieces!

Jaxon

My Sweet Jaxon. He is definitely all boy but always has a f=smile on his face. He is growing so fast. At his 1 year checkup :Weight 22 lbs 37%; Height 31.5 inches 92%; Head 18 inches 30%. At least he got Cody height!!!!! Thank goodness!

He has the most interesting crawl. He keeps one leg bent and the other one straight, but boy can he move!!!!

Some of the things her learned to do before he was one are.....

He loves to say Dada and TayTay and every once in awhile Momma!

He can moo and click his tongue!

When you ask to say mom he gets a big smile on his face and says dada followed by a laugh! He is already learning how to tease. He will put his hand on Taylyn's car seat until she cries and then he smiles. He will also very quietly put his arm on Taylyn's and lightly scratch her until she starts to whine and then he finishes with a grin and a big scratch. It's amazing how brothers just know how to bug their sisters!

He started walking right before his birthday on March 14, 2010. Once he took his first step the only crawling was to get to a wall to stand up with. He is all over the place!

Jaxon got his first haircut that ended up being a shaved head. He just laid there and let Cody shave it.

Like I said so laid back!

Taylyn said his head felt funny and kept rubbing it! I had to agree.

Happy to be done! He kept grabbing his head too!

He found Taylyn's big Dora coloring book and went to town. He ripped about 3 pages out and started eating them. Of course I have to get the camera before we stopped the destruction.

He is into everything and doesn't stop when you tell him to like his sister!

He is always making us laugh. He loves to make faces and laugh!

He's got the sweetest smile and the most mischievous eyes I have ever seen. Cody has a hard time telling him no because he is so cute. You say no and he looks at you with a smile and goes for it really fast. Or for example was standing on a chair I told him to sit down. He smiles and sits down until I turn my back on him and he laughs and stands back up. So funny it's hard to get mad!

I love my Jax Man and he has brought so much into our family. Tay and Jax are the best of friends for the most part and love to play together. I am so grateful to be there mom and love them to pieces. I hope they will always stay best friends and watch out for each other!!!

His 9 month checkup was on 12/21/09 and he was: Weight 20 lbs 4 ounces 53%; Height 30 inches 92%; Head 18 inches 60%

Snow Fun

Things were vastly different this year in the Wilson home when it came to snow. Last year Taylyn was afraid of the snow, this year she gets so excited with each storm and I get told about 50 times a day that now we get to build a snow something, go sledding,make a snow angel, build a castle or just play in the snow with her gloves!!!!!All the pictures are in no order but we have had a lot of snow time this year!

As soon as she sees it is snowing she goes in her room and comes out dressed and ready to go!Nothing better than a snowball fight, especially when it is one sided!

Look at the determination on her face....she was going to hit me or else!!! Jaxon thought it was really quite hilarious!Now she turned on Daddy and decided it was time to hit him! We were at Cody's work and one of them asked Tay if she was going to build a snowman when Daddy got home. Her response, "We don't build snowmen at our house we build like snow lions and stuff. I fink (think) we will make a snow Micky today."

Christms 2009

We had a great Christmas. It was very busy and came too quickly, but was really fun this year with Taylyn being a little older. She was able to ask Santa for a few things and was quite sure she was getting them. She wanted to help decorate and wanted to know all about Santa Claus!!!

She came into our room on Christmas morning and climbed up on our bed and just wanted to lay next to us, until we reminded her that Santa had come. We got up and walked out to the Christmas Tree. As soon as she say it her face dropped and I thought she was going to cry. She said, "Santa and the reindeer didn't even come and say hi to me!!!!" We had to explain that he is really busy and has so many houses to go to that he doesn't want to wake the kids up but he left her a note thanking her for the cookies. That was all she needed and was ready to open the presents!!!We had to take a family picture before we started opening gifts. It is a tradition my parent always did with us and I had to continue it with my family! She asked Santa for a kitchen and a doll. She must have been a good girl because she got both!

She loved being able to unwrap the gifts!

Jaxon just enjoyed ripping the paper off the toy! He really liked the ball he could throw!"Now what am I supposed to do with this!"

After we had opened all the gifts she discover that he left stocking too. She was so excited to find she had a candy cane filled with sweet tarts! She hugged it and said, "these are my favrite!"

It took me about 3-4 hours but I finally got up our Carpenter Son's Tree that we bought last year at the Children's Festival of Trees. It had the prettiest ornaments and pretty much everything was hand made or from Jerusalem. Every time I looked at it I was a reminded of why we truly celebrate Christmas.

One of the dentists in town has a stocking contest to collect Christmas for the needy. This year I got the idea to make a car themed one. I even bought material and made my own stocking to put the supplies in. We won, so the office got lunch one afternoon!

Time Out for Women!

According to my husband we had Sister Weekend Part 2. We went to Time Out for Women in St. George. It was very uplifting and I really enjoyed the speakers. We sat down and my aunt and daughters ended up sitting right behind us. What a small world!!!

SUU Homecoming-October 2009

After the sheep parade we headed over to the SUU Homecoming Parade. I was all done with parade by the end of both of them. Cody had to work so he really lucked out!!!!

Tay 3rd birthday

I can't believe my sweet Taylyn is already 3. She is growing so fast. It has been a great year with lots of learning and developing on both ends. We love her to pieces and she can always make us laugh, she comes up with the funniest things to say! Happy Birthday my Sweet Taylyn!

Every time we went to any grocery store for about 2 months before her birthday she would ask to go see her Princess Birthday cake. I was going to try and make one but her heart was set on that one and she asked Daddy, "Oh Please O Please can I have MY Princess Cake." That is all it took. She was so excited and told everyone that she was having a princess party.Princess cake always taste better than regular cake!

She even got a princess sticker that she wore for dinner at the Pizza Factory and them took it off cause it's only for dinner according to her!

Here is Taylyn with her friends- Brandon, Aiden, Andee, Tay, Collin, Allie, Lacy, Jaxon, Ashlynn We invited the Family and the Hillstead's over for cake and ice cream. She was pretty excited to have so many people to play with!Here's part of the family. Willie, Nana, Maile, Cassie, Shon, Regan, Nana, Papa, Chad, and Melissa all came over to celebrate Taylyn turning 3. She told Maile that she wanted a princess chair and a princess cake for her birthday. Maile got her a princess chair.

She went through a phase where she only wanted to take naps in my bed, but she would bring in a whole bucket of stuff to sleep with her.

Daddy can fit in Taylyn's bed. She told him he was too big, which means he got in to prove otherwise. The were pretending to sleep for the picture! I put her in her bed and came in a little while later to find her on the ground!We were shopping at Big Lots and she was standing in the cart after I had told her to sit down a few time. I turned the corner and didn't see the edge of the shelf. She went over the front of the cart and landed on her back, and boy did she scream! This isn't a good picture but you can see where it starts and where it ends.She wanted to dress herself and of course Daddy said yes and this is how she came out of her room.

We went to eat breakfast with Santa. Taylyn was a little nervous at first but was brave and finally sat on his lap. Jaxon on the other hand was following in his sister reaction the last 2 years... not a huge fan!Princess area downstairs!
We saw Santa later that day sitting on his throne!
We got pretty much the same reaction as the morning!A little more comfortable. She even told him she wanted a kitchen and baby doll!

Office Christmas Party

We had the office Christmas Party at our house this year. It was a lot of work but so much fun. We ate lots of food and played some fun games!

Tired of the Snow!!!

We all had just had it with the snow and decided to go to Nana Papa's in October. The kids loved being outside.....

She saw the pool and had a blast swimming, until the bubbles got on her face and then she was done!!!!!

Minature Golfing

We took Taylyn Miniature golfing and she loved it. She actually made a hole in one on the last hole. The only problem is that she wanted to in the castle and houses. She couldn't quite understand why she couldn't.

Look at the concentration in the face....A golf pro in the making!She wanted a princess picture on the rock!Sink!!!!Trying to figure out where her ball went after it went into the hole!He wasn't sure about miniature golfing but in the end decided it was really fun!Just along for the ride getting used to the helmet!!

Temple Trip

We had to go down to St. George about once a week while Jaxon's helmet was on. Taylyn has been asking me to go to the temple for months so I decided to take her. We went through the visitor's center and she loved seeing all the pictures of Jesus.

She wanted to walk up the stairs that we took out wedding pictures on.
It was neat to see how excited Taylyn was.

My sweet Jaxon has grown so fast. It is amazing how one day they wake up and they are no longer little babies. He started crawling at around 7 months, if you can call it crawling. He keeps one leg straight and bends the other. I think it is because the upstairs is basically all wood and it doesn't hurt his knees to do it that way. He sure moves fast. He is such a boy, so I am told. I have had to baby proof my house, which I never did with Tay. He loves to throw things down the stairs and just laughs. He is busy but laid back and easy going. He loves his mommy a ton but only would say Dada, and Tay Tay for the longest time. Whenever I asked him to say Mommy, he would smile, laugh and say, "Dada." He is already a tease. He loves to grab Taylyn's blankets and arm when they are in their car seats just to make her cry and then he smiles. It is so funny to watch.

He loves to play with anything his sister is playing with, especially if it is in her room!

Everything goes in the mouth. It doesn't matter what it tastes like or how big or small it is.

I am so excited he loves books as much as his sister. They will both sit on my lap to read as long as I will keep saying yes to just one more please!

He loves sippy cups almost as much as he loves throwing them. Table what table? This is his favorite place to crawl!The first time in a driving cart. He was all about the steering wheel!He has the biggest most curious eyes.

I was at Costco one time and he was really tired. He just decided to lay and rest. That smile always makes me smile. He is such a sweet boy!Notice the two teeth in the front. I love that look!

My Little Helmet Man!

Jaxon started out with a little bit of a flat head when he was born. It seemed to be getting worse as he got older. So in October, I felt like we needed to do something about it so he wouldn't have it as he got older. Taylyn said that he looked like Sponge Bob Square pants cause his head was flat. We went and saw a specialist and he said we could wait and see if it would correct itself or if it were his kids he would get it on asap. The problem with waiting is that the older he gets the longer it takes to fix. The said that he would have to wear 23 hours a day for 3 months. We decided to pay for it so we didn't have to wait for the insurance to decide if it was needed and then fight them later. We made the right decision. It only took 8 weeks, he was done before Christmas and it looks great now. He was really good with it and it didn't seem to bother him much. It was nice while he was learning to crawl. Falling didn't phase him too much! He loved to slap it with his hands to make sounds, but the minute it was off he would take both hands and scratch the back of his head. I was really impressed with how laid back he is. He just goes with the flow and things just don't bother him. All ready to start the mold for the helmet. He was happy not knowing what was about to happen. Taylyn told the doctor not to hurt her Jax Man!

Shopping!

My kids went through a short phase of being happy to go shopping. All it took was a fun cart! Jaxon loves to drive the car. He squeals and squawks the entire time in the store.

Zion National Park!

One morning we woke up and decided to pack a quick lunch and go to Zion's for the day. It was at the beginning of fall and was absolutely beautiful. We stopped a couple of places to take pictures!

Taylyn was finding things to hold and places to pose and then asking Cody to take a picture of her.

Heading into the tunnel! Taylyn was all about the tunnel. She thought is was so fun, especially when Cody rolled down her window!

We stopped at the Virgin Store just outside of Zion. The had a petting zoo we told Taylyn she could go in and see the animals. She liked the building better than the animals because she said that they were stinky. I had to agree. Jaxon however thought the animals were awesome. He was smiling and making all kinds of noises. She loved pumping out the water.

We had a lot of fun and a great way to spend a day with the family!

Halloween 2009

This year was so much fun with Taylyn understanding what happens. We went to a couple of things throughout the weekend. It starting with picking and craving the pumpkins.

"It's a little bit heavy for me mom!"

It took a lot of convincing to put her hands inside the pumpkin and clean it out. She told us it was too uckie to touch!

The night before Halloween we went to Iron's Springs Halloween Party with Brandon and Collin. They had a bunch of games, food and dancing. The kids thought it was really cool. She was really good at the golf game and played it twice.

She tried Cotton Candy for the first time but was not a fan!

We also went to Lin's Supermarket's Trunk or Treat. We went to the ward Trunk or Treat.

Cody decorated our trunk and won 2nd place.

Taylyn had decided she wanted to be Jasman (Jasmine), Daddy was supposed to be Aladdin, I was supposed to be Rajah (Jasmine's Tiger) and Jaxon was Abu (the monkey). Well I started pricing costumes and about had a heart attack. They are expensive so I decided I would try and make them so it would be cheaper. Well thanks to a little help from my mom, Linda, and Cody, I was able to finish them. They turned out really cute for my first time. Jaxon loved the tail!Teasi and Taylyn made their own costume during the morning.
Here is all the kids ready to go trick or treating!Taylyn was hilarious going from door to door. She was on such a sugar high. She tried to eat the candy as it was given to her. She was running full speed and giggling the whole time. I was laughing so hard but of course as soon as a I pulled the camera out she was done. She woke up every morning for the next week asking if when we were going trick or treating again. She is a huge fan! Jax just went along for the ride!

Cody High School Friend

Cedar Mountain

We went up to our friends family cabin last fall. We went on a 4-wheeler ride and ate dinner with them. Taylyn loved the 4-wheelers and of course their dog. We saw about 6 deer as we were riding on the trail.

Backyard

We were so sad to leave our rental because of the view we had but was pleasantly surprised at the sunsets we have. This was taken on our back porch.

The best thing is in October everyone marches their sheep off the mountain and right by our house to take them to the valley for the winter. Taylyn was amazed.

Look close those are sheep!!!!! We even had a big herd of cattle come by one day!
