Alldredge Family Reunion

My Mom's side of the family had their reunion in Fillmore this year. Melissa and I took the kids up there for the day. We had a lot of fun swimming, playing at my uncle's house, the famous auction and of course had a great dutch oven dinner. This was the first year without my Grandpa so we all shed a few tears in remembrance of him and we definitely missed his dutch oven potatoes and his teasing us when we asked for potatoes without onions. Thanks Uncle Dennis and Family for a great reunion!

The cabin we are sitting by was actually the one from the Arizona strip where my Grandpa grew up and my Uncle brought it to his house piece by piece and reassembled it.
Jaxon was so glad to finally get his shorts off and just lay in the shade. It was really hot! He was really excited to see Papa. He loves my Dad and will always let him hold him.We had the pool rented for the family for a couple hours. It was a good thing, we filled it up really fast. Taylyn loved the kiddie pool and thought she was such a big girl to be able to touch the bottom.
Jaxon and Aiden just hanging out and absolutely loving the water. Can you believe it... Tay actually got dirty for a few minutes two different times before she asked to get cleaned up. She is really figuring out that getting dirty is fun. Above is a picture after dinner and below are proof that she played in the dirt. She has come along way!
Teasi and Taylyn of course had a blast together and didn't leave each other for even a moment! I made two of these pictures tiles of my grandparents to sell at the auction!Great Grandma Alldredge and Jaxon. He was quite content to sit on Grandma lap. We all had a great time but man did the kids stink up the car on the way home. We got home really late and Cody went to put Tay in bed until he saw how dirty she was and she went straight to the bath!!

Panguitch Hot Air Balloon Festival

Every July Panguitch has a Balloon Festival so I decided to take the kids over because Cody had to work all weekend. We got up at 6am so we could see the balloons take off. The kids thought it was cool for a minute and then they just wanted something to eat. Taylyn's favorite was the Smokey the Bear, but had a really hard time seeing it because the sun was right in our eyes. There was not much wind so some of them had a hard time staying up in the sky. This rainbow one landed right by us.

There is the Smokey the Bear Balloon. That is all Tay wanted to talk about.
After the kids were ready to go, we went back to Michelle's for breakfast. Then headed back downtown for the motorcycle parade. I love Panguitch...you can basically walk everywhere! Jared and Kaeden were in the parade. Jennifer and her family came down as well so of course we made everyone pose for lots of pictures.
And more pictures!
The whole gang!!!
Jaxon loved getting held by all of the girls.
Jaxon and Jennifer
To much sun for the Jax Man! He was not at all amused.
After the parade and carnival we went back to Michelle's and of course the clothes came off and the dress-ups went on.
The kids said they were going outside to play. After a few minutes we went to check on them and this is what we found.
Teasi buried in the sand!
Tay shirtless jumping and sliding (having a blast)!

We went back downtown for dinner and to watch the balloons light up. Teasi and Taylyn are the best of friends!
Once again Jaxon is being spoiled by Tiffney.
Tay was pretty tired by the time it got dark so she decided it was time to be pushed! Tiffney put Jaxon asleep. Here arm finally got tired enough she laid him down. He was so tired he didn't even wake up. This part of the evening was my favorite. It was interesting to watch how they get the balloon filled up. We were watching this one in the background and Taylyn asked me if she could climb inside of the balloon and play. Even with the fire going she was convinced she could still get inside. Thanks Michelle for having all of us there!

Happy Birthday Cody!!!

I took Cody golfing for his Birthday in August. It was a lot of fun to get away from the kids for a minute and be able to play golf again with Cody. It has been at least a year since we have played together and we used to go quite often so it was nice to go together. I even decided to have my niece and her husband come over and babysit twice a month so we could go. It has been fun but now it is too cold for me to play!!
I played better than I have ever played before. I even go to par on two holes. I think I even stayed close to Cody's score. This squirrel stole Cody's peanut M&M once when he was teeing off. It is always just hanging out at the hole and the trash can.

Fishing

Taylyn with her Fish!
(Notice the dirty clothes... yes she is actually dirty and loving it!)
Throughout the summer we had a few fishing trips up to Kids Pond and New Castle. Tay has caught quite a few fish with her little Dora Pole. She even got brave enough to touch one. Tay loves to practice with her pole in the house, in the front yard and anywhere else she can. She is getting pretty good at it. Cody lets her pick out whatever she wants from the fridge to try and catch the fish. She always chooses squeaky cheese from Beaver and it always works! Jaxon's idea of Fishing!!! I was glad I was in charge of him!
She wanted to try on her own. That meant she was poking the rocks with her pole. She eventually got tired and let Cody have a turn holding it.
Yah! We caught one!
Taylyn and Cody waiting for the fish to bite.
So proud of the first fish of the evening! She wouldn't touch it!
Finally a little braver with fish #3...she finally touched it!

We went for a drive to New Castle but we had forgotten her fishing pole at Lake Powell so we couldn't go fishing. All she wanted to do was throw rocks so it was probably a good thing we didn't end up trying to catch anything. Cody found her a crayfish, but she decided she didn't really want to touch it.

Jax 2 month checkup

Jaxon 2 Months
13 pounds 9ounces 89%
22 3/4 in 45%
Head 15 1/4 in 23%
I can't believe how much the Jax Man has grown. In 2 months he has doubled his birth weight. He has the same Acid Reflux problem that Taylyn had when she was a baby, but his doesn't seem as severe. He is on medication twice a day and seems to be doing much better. He is such a sweet boy and I am so thankful he is a part of our family. Jaxon is a big time Mamma's Boy, which is only fair because Taylyn is a big time Daddy's Girl!
Jaxon loves to be held and loved by anyone who is willing.
He especially loves to watch Basketball with Daddy!
Taylyn thinks he is cute but doesn't really have much to do with him. She is a great help, but she doesn't like it when he cries. She told her nursery teacher, "Baby Jaxon loves my Mommy best not my Daddy, but I love my Daddy the best! " Oh the things they say.

Jaxon managed to also inherit Taylyn lungs. He cries almost as loud as Taylyn.

Don't you love the double chin!!!! It doesn't take me long to fatten my little ones up!

Oh The Things Kids Say!!!

Cody was getting after Taylyn for something, she looks at him with water in her baby blue eyes and said, "Daddy don't talk at me like that, talk at me nice." Needless to say she got a hug from Daddy!

Taylyn has decided that she loves to eat at Pizza Factory. Whenever we are decided where we want to eat lunch or dinner she will pipe in with, "I want to go to pizza factory. I want a salad but no salad." (Taylyn language for "I want all the stuff but no lettuce.")

Tay went through a short phase of hitting me when she like my answer to something. One of the times it happened I sent her to her room again. She was crying and crying but finally stopped so I went in the room to talk to her about why she had to go to her room. I told her she needed to tell Mommy sorry for hitting me. She replied with, "I don't want to tell you sorry." I held in my laugh and told her she could come out of her room when she was ready to say sorry. She started to cry again and about 10 minutes later she came out and looked at me with tears still in her eyes and said, "I sorry for hitting you mommy, and gave me a big hug. The problem was fixed she never tried to hit me again.

At Nursery shortly after Jaxon was born Taylyn told her nursery teacher, "Jaxon loves Mommy the best, not him Daddy, and Daddy loves me the best!" Jaxon had RSV at the time and required a lot of my attention and stoped crying whenever I held him. So he was held a lot!
