The Big 28

Happy Birthday Mom!!!!
Well I had another birthday and turned another year older. I can't believe that I am that old. My 10 year class reunion is coming up. Time sure goes by quickly! I am so grateful for the 28 years that I have been alive and have so many wonderful memories. I couldn't have asked for a better 28 years!
We went to dinner with friends and then Cody bought me a Ice Cream Cake from Dairy Queen that we came home to eat, as well as played the Wii. It was so fun! Taylyn was sharing my cake and decided that I was not feeding her fast enough!

The Best of Friends!

Well not really but Roxie is getting better. She even lets Taylyn hold her and hug her (last picture was in the process of hugging). It makes Tay just laugh and giggle until Roxie escapes!

Cutie Pie!

We decided to take Tay for a walk on Sunday. It was cold and windy and since she had an ear infection we put on a hat and warm clothes. She looked so cute I had to take her picture. She loved the walk and really needed the fresh air!

I Don't Know!

Taylyn has started this new thing when she doesn't know where someone or some thing is she goes like this:

It makes me laugh. She spends half her day like this, saying "Daddy!" Notice I did let her get dirty, look at those hands! I am getting better!

Fondue Party!

We have a Fondue Pot and a Chocolate Fountain so we had a little Fondue Party last week. Everyone brought something and we ate until we were sick. It was totally worth it though!!!

Relaxation Time

Like Father, Like Daughter!

Nothing better than sitting on the patio relaxing. Well I guess sitting in Roxie's chair with a sippy may be a close second. She can climb in Roxie chair but hasn't quite figured out how to get herself back to the ground!

Video Game Junkie!

Yes, I need to admit to my new addiction. I used to harass Cody about playing his X-Box 360! Well he bought me a Wii awhile ago and we played it every now than, but when Cody and Taylyn got sick and were sleeping all day I was bored and decided to Play Party Mario. Well I was trying to beat the Star Battle to open up some more games. I am not very good at playing them so after about 8 hours I finally beat it. Then Cody bought me Mario Galaxy for my birthday. so now I have more things I need to beat. This new game is hard so I have to have Cody help quite a bit, but it is fun! It has become our new past time after Taylyn goes bed!

Attack of the Bug!

Right after we got back from Christmas break we were infested with all kinds of sickness bugs! We are still recuperating. I got a really bad sinus infections and finally got over that in time for Taylyn to react from her 1 year shots, decided to start teething and get an ear infection. She ran a fever of 103.9 for 2 days and basically slept for two days straight. It was fun to have her snuggle me again but I felt so bad that she was so sick. She ended up getting a shot and a full dose of antibiotic. Cody also got a fever, achy joints and didn't get out of bed for two days as well. He even got it the same day as Taylyn. So I was busy taking care of my two babies!!! We are finally almost over everything; I hope!

Favorite Place to Eat in Ft. Lauderdale

Whenever Cody's family comes we always go to The Rustic Inn. It is such good seafood! Cody always gets the Hands On Platter (crab, shrimp, ribs) and I always get the Queen Crab! The best part however, is their Key Lime Pie! It is to die for!!!!!!

My Little Shopper!

Taylyn was tired of sitting in the shopping cart, so she decided it was her turn to push the cart and do a little shopping!

Walking, Walking and More Walking

Taylyn started to walk in the first part of December. She got braver and braver and then went for it. She is really good now, but thinks that she can run and that doesn't quite work for her. She has taken a few big falls because her body is moving faster than her legs. All she wants to do is walk everywhere and anywhere. Her favorite is to take Roxie outside and she just follows her around stomping on the grass. Things sure take a lot longer when your children learn to walk!!

Christmas Day

Christmas Morning!
Christmas Day was great! We spent the morning with Cody's Family opening gifts and eating breakfast. Taylyn was very spoiled! Then we went down to Overton to eat dinner with my parents. It was a wonderful day and so nice to be able to spend it with family this year! I am not sure what she is doing, but I thought it was a funny picture!
I finally got a smile after about 5 pictures! The best part for Taylyn was climbing over the gifts!Still climbing! Roxie even got a Christmas treat and gift! All Taylyn wanted to do was eat some breakfast! She kept trying to climb in the box!
OOP's she got caught!
She enjoyed helping Grandpa open his gifts too!

Great Grandparents!

While we were out west we went to visit Taylyn's Great Grandparents! It is always so nice to visit with them. I wish we could be closer and visit more often.

Vacation Time!

We left on December 3rd and came back January 1st. Cody took some time off of school in order to visit and work with his Uncle. It was nice to get such a big break. We went from Cedar to Overton to Vegas to go to the Nationals Final Rodeo, back to Cedar, up to Salt Lake, back to Cedar then to Overton and finally back to Ft. Lauderdale. It was very busy but we were able to see most of the family. Taylyn enjoyed her time with her Daddy too and got very spoiled with attention from everyone. I made some slide show to show a little of our vacation. Hope you enjoy seeing what we have been up to recently!

Visiting the Wilson's!!

Snow, Snow and More Snow!

Mommy and Taylyn's Road Trip to Salt Lake City

Taylyn and I went to Salt Lake for a weekend. My nieces had a lot of fun things going on so we decided to head up there to see everyone. On Friday night we went to see Cassandra and Danielle dance at a church activity. I tried to take pictures but they didn't turn out at all. They did a great job and are sure growing up fast. Then on Saturday Cassandra watched Taylyn so I could go to Brittney and Tiffney's dance contest. I am absolutely amazed at what they could do. It was so fun to be able to see the two of them dance together. The team was awesome and did really well. On Sunday Danielle sang in church and almost made me cry. I didn't know she could sing that well. It was a fast trip but I had so much fun and am so proud of the girls and all their accomplishments!

Festival of Trees

In Cedar City every year they have a Festival of Trees where people decorate Christmas trees and display them.Cody's mom and Aunt decorate the Santa area as well as creating the North Pole and about 20-30 trees. They put in a ton of work and it always looks amazing. Here are a few pictures we took when we went to see everything this year. Taylyn was so excited and was trying to run from one tree to the other. She loved it until we had her sit on Santa's lap. She was not happy about that, but loved seeing everything else!
