Final Goodbye to Florida!

Well it has been a long 6 years and we are ready to go back west but we are definitely going to miss Florida. It may be a couple of weeks before I get back to my blog. We are moving next week and believe it or not I have yet to pack a box, therefore, I will probably not have time to be a blogger junkie (as Cody calls me) until we get settled in Cedar. Hopefully our stuff arrives there safely and I don't have too many nervous breakdowns in the next month! Wish me luck!

Here are 10 things we will miss about Florida!
1. The wonderful friends we have made during our Journey through school. Each one has made it easier to be so far away from home. We will miss being able to see them often! Through work, school and church we have made great friends and created many wonderful memories over the years.
2. The chance to go swimming all year round because it doesn't get below 70 degrees very often.
3. Being able to wear flip flops wherever you go all year round!
4. Tijuana Flats, Chicken Shack, Rustic Inn-need I say more! There are so many amazing places to eat here that we are really going to miss!
5. Taylyn is going to miss her Katie and Chris. Every time we get in the car she asks if we are going to get "Kay-te and Kis." She even gets excited when we make the turn to the street they live on because she knows where she is going!
6. Having a Super Target, Costco, Ross, Old Navy, JoAnn's and a Mall within 5 minutes of our home!
7. Being students! Who would have thought that could be on the list! You are a grown-up, but you are not quite in the entire grown-up world.
8. Not having the chance to dream and talk about some day when we are out of school we can do this, or that won't matter anymore!!!
9. Having two theatre close by so we can go see Broadway plays and concerts. We have really taken advantage of that while we were here, which I would never trade no matter how much we have spent on them over the years!
10. Being close to Orlando and all of the Theme Parks! We have many great memories there!

The one thing we are so glad to leave behind- hurricanes!!!

Happy Father's and Grandfather's Day

My Daddy’s LoveI am my Daddy’s Sweet Little Girl,
Who treats me like a delicate pearl.
He is wrapped around my little finger,
All I need is to let my blue eyes linger.
Melt is what his heart will do,
I can even get him to take me to the zoo.
My Dad shows me how much he loves me
In so many ways that anyone could see.
Like chasing Roxie with my stroller for hours,
And swinging me in a blanket, with all of his powers.
My Daddy can be such a good sport,
To wear my bling, bling, and build me a fort.
He takes me on lots of big adventures,
We take Roxie outside ten times a day, for sure.
I know my Daddy loves me, cause he reads me many books,
That eventually all we can do is just look.
My Daddy helps me color, and even rides my horse,
We watch movies together, and play on the bed, of course!
Although I don’t want to admit to you,
He has me wrapped around his finger too.
Daddy just has to say 5 little things,
“Please do it for Daddy,” and I do cause he’s my king.
So Happy Father’s Day to the best Dad around!I love you and feel like the luckiest girl in tow
n!

My Grandpa WillieI like to call my Grandpa, Willie
Even if he thinks it’s so silly.
My mommy tells me he loves to shop
For me, the big bucks he is never afraid to drop.
I love Grandpa Willie, cause he keeps a roof over my head,
And the way things are going he will until I’m dead.
He always greets me with a smile,
And reads me books, even if it’s a pile.
We go for rides in his Escalade truck,
Right to Brads to get drinks for a buck.
Every morning I wake up happy to be alive
And greet Grandpa’s smile with a high five!
So I wish you a happy Grandfather’s Day!From your favorite granddaughter, your sweet little Tay!

My Papa May
I love to be with my Papa May,
And cherish time spent everyday.
My favorite thing that Papa is use’n
His cane and walker that keeps him cruisen.
I always make sure that my Papa holds the can in his hand,
And when he’s sleeping I take his walker all around the land.
I learned by myself to say my Papa’s name,
I would win if finding him in a picture were a game.
I love it when he laughs and smiles at me,
And shares anything he has, what a pair are we.
I will always remember when you took me to the zoo,
We raced each other, shared Dippin’ Dots, and animals we saw there too.
I love when you hold me on your lap and tap my leg softly so
You let me know you love me and deep in my heart I will always know
So I want to tell you Happy Papa Day!From one of your many granddaughters, your little Tay
!

I sure love the guys in my life!!!!

Curly

I finally decided to use her natural curl to my advantage. I put some moose in it and was surprised at how much curl she had. It looked so cute!

18 Months Old

I can't believe Taylyn is 18 months. She is sure growing up fast. She is still my sweet baby girl and I love her to pieces!

Bubble Bath

I tried to take Taylyn to the pool the other day but when we got over there the water was green. I didn't dare let her get in so we came home and I let her play in the bath. I decided to give her a bubble bath. I know this is a lot of pictures but it gives a play by play of the event! It was quite amusing! I had a good laugh, which she was not pleased about! What is this Mom?
Eh, eh get it off!
Oh wait, this might be kind of fun!
Bu, bu ,bu (bubbles in Tay language)!
Oh wait! Help my hands are dirty, I can't get this stuff off!
She was ready to get out! We will have to try that again!

What a Little Mom!

Taylyn is going to make a great mom someday. She loves high-heels, purses and pushing strollers. She loves to tell people where and how to sit or lay. She is a pro at saying No, which Roxie is getting the worst of that one. And boy does she love to cook, especially her wonderful mixture of dog food and water, all stirred carefully together!

Movie Freak!

She loves her movies still, but now she likes it when I make her a bed, give her a bag of snacks and her water and she is good to go. She would stay like this forever if I would let her!

Zoo with Daddy

We finally found a time to go to the zoo with Cody. We all had a lot of fun but didn't stay too long because it was really hot.

Daddy was a good sport and let Taylyn walk when we were not riding on the bike. She loved the bird area and was sad to leave until I told her she could have a treat when she got back in the bike (it was her first time in the bird area-we have always been to late the other times we went).
She rode a Merry-Go-Round for the first time. She liked it at first but after awhile she was ready for it to stop but it just kept going and going. She loved to be surrounded by the animals and kept making all the sounds of the ones she could see.
Taylyn's favorite part of the Zoo- the elephants. We sat on the bench watching them while Taylyn had a snack. The elephant was very hot so it was sticking its trunk in a pipe that had water coming out and would fill up its trunk. Once it was finished it would flip up its trunk and spray its face. Taylyn would laugh so hard every time the elephant did it. It was hilarious!
What a ride! We look as hot and sweaty as we felt, but it was fun to have Cody with us this time.

Silly Face

If you ask Taylyn to make her silly face this is what we get. She started doing it on her own. I hope she didn't get that face from me! I think is was from Cody!

Taylyn and Roxie's Favorite Place in the Whole World

Taylyn and Roxie would be outside all day long if I would let them. They will play on the patio forever until mean mom or dad make them come inside because we are boiling from the heat!

She loves to go inside when we are out and smash her face against the glass until we look at her. She is getting to be so silly. We laugh a lot during the day!

The minute we step out the door she is asking for her bubbles and we have to keep blowing them until we go inside (it doesn't even matter if she is playing with them). She know the minute we set the bottle down and starts asking for more bubbles.

Our Girls are so Curious!

Taylyn Loves Packing!!

I for one hate packing to move. It is a big pain, especially with Taylyn's help. By the time I get something in, she's already pulled something out. Taylyn on the other hand loves it! She thinks the boxes are pretty cool and keeps putting things that don't belong, like herself!

Katie's Graduation!

Taylyn and I went to Katie's 5th Grade Graduation. It was fun to see all of my old students and see how much they have grown. I can't believe that they are all going into 6th grade already. I just keep getting older and older. Taylyn was pretty good during the program and was very happy to finally get to see her Katie! Congratulations and Way to go Katie!!

Wiped Out

Taylyn was so tired after church this is how I found her after checking on dinner!
She found her binkie in my purse. She only gets it in her crib, at the Doctor's office and sometimes when I get desperate at church. She was quite pleased with herself that she had found it.

Saying Goodbye to the Nova Branch

We have been members of the Nova Branch for church for 2 1/2 years. Cody was put in the Branch as the 1st Counselor in the Singles Branch. That meant I was the only married girl in the branch. It has been an amazing experience to watch the Branch grow and develop because it started when we got called to serve in it. We have made so many great friends and we are going to miss it a lot. Tay is not going to know what to do when she is the only child at church. She has been pretty spoiled and loves all of the attention. We wish everyone the best of luck in their lives and are sad to be leaving. It is nice to have a quite Sacrament with no noise unless Tay starts to make noises. We are truly going to miss it!

5th Anniversary

Happy 5th Anniversary
Cody and I had our 5th Anniversary on May 30. I can't believe it has been 5 years. I am so grateful that Cody came into my life. The past five years have been a blast. We have had so many great trips, nights-out and seen many cool things. I love him with all of my heart and I can't imagine what my life would be like without him. We have been through a lot but have learned to rely on each other and we are always able to overcome anything. Here are a few pictures of our years together. Whenever I am with him we have so much fun and he can always make me laugh! I love you Cody and I look forward to another 5 years!

Top Chef

I have a new favorite show. We love to watch Top Chef on Bravo. It is one show both Cody and I love to watch. I decided I wanted to try and make some different type meals than I normally do and arrange the dinner on plates to look nice. This was my first attempt at cooking salmon and making the plate look kind of fancy! Cody was impressed so he took a picture of it. It was actually fun for me to do. I am trying a few new things each week. We will see how long it lasts once moving starts to really set in.

Sick Baby

Tay has been sick for like 2 weeks. The had a cough that kept getting worse. She started getting up 3-4 time during the night coughing and she had so much junk in her lungs she would stop breathing and we had to suck her mouth out and get her calmed down. We went to the doctor twice and had a chest x-ray done to make sure something wasn't lodged in her throat. Nothing showed up but her lungs are sure full of stuff. She is finally started to cough less but now I have caught it as well. We have so much going on right now and a lot of stress that I just think my body couldn't fight it off. I am trying just to suck it up and tell myself I feel fine because I have too much going on to be sick. I am so glad that Taylyn is finally seeming like she is going to kick whatever this is.

Two Fun Family Weekends in a Row!

We went to a park and petting zoo last Saturday. Taylyn loved walking around like a big girl and wouldn't let us carry her at all. She loved to see all of the animals that were all over the park. Her favorite was chasing the birds away!

We shared a ice cream taco. Both of us were a fan especially because it cooled us off a little!

Tay and Cody looking at the fish in the pond!
Tay had to walk next to Daddy. She wanted nothing to do with me, but I did
sneak on picture in next to the lily pads.
If you look close you will see a iguana in this picture. Tay went to go touch it but it ran away.
We went to the petting zoo and I bought a cup of food so we could feed the animals. The goats started fighting and head butting each other with me and Tay in the middle. I finally dumped out the rest of the food so they would leave me alone. Taylyn thought it was so funny and enjoyed touching the animals.I was surprised that she went right up to them and started to pet them, and didn't seem scared at all. She thought the iggies (piggies) were hilarious!
Memorial Weekend!
We had a great weekend. Daddy went swimming with us and Taylyn showed him how she can jump off the side of the pool. She thought it was sure funnier when her Dad came.

We also went to the park and once again enjoyed having Cody with us. We usually go during the day when he is at school so he never gets to come. She really had a good time.

What a face!!! I sure love my sweet baby girl!
